Miami restaurants see every kind of payment: tap and phone wallets, chip, cash, and cards from all over the world. Celt Payments installs Lavu POS with a cash discount program, so card acceptance stops eating your margin and nobody pays above the posted price.
Small tickets are where fees hurt most
On a conventional plan, a per-transaction fee of $0.10 to $0.25 is charged on every sale, regardless of size. A quarter on a $6 coffee is over 4% of the ticket before the rate is even applied. For a ventanita, bakery or quick-service counter running hundreds of small tickets a day, that line can cost more than the rate itself. With our program there's no separate per-transaction fee on your statement.
Service in Spanish
You can read our full site and request your audit in Spanish, and our materials are also available in French and Chinese. Lavu's interface is iPad-simple, and staff training is typically a single shift.
Built for high volume
Online ordering, delivery integrations, QR ordering and kitchen display are native to Lavu, not bolted on. Lavu also connects to tools Miami operators already use, including DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, OpenTable and QuickBooks. The full list is on our homepage.
Cards that never touch your POS
Payments run on Adyen, a PCI DSS Level 1 processor, with PCI-validated P2PE available. Card data is encrypted inside the terminal and tokenized at rest, so there's no readable card data on your network to steal.
The handhelds we install for Miami restaurants
Two ways to take payment at the table, both on Adyen processing. Pick one, or run both on the same floor.
The S1F2 shows credit, debit and cash as three separate buttons, and we set the display and receipt wording to the card network and state rules that apply to you. Amounts on the terminal screen are illustrative. You can also prove it on one station for sixty days on the S1F2 before changing anything else.
Is a cash discount program legal in Florida?
Florida's former statutory ban on credit card surcharging has been held unconstitutional, and cash discount programs are widely used by Florida restaurants. Our program is structured as a discount from one posted price, so nobody pays more than the menu price, and we configure the terminal display and receipt wording to current card network rules. Confirm your specific setup with your acquirer or your own advisor. The full answer is in our FAQ.
